About Riksja TravelRiksja Travel began at the start of the new 2000 millennium.Internet had made its big breakthrough and yet an internet travel agency was still a novelty. We looked for a company name under which we could best fit our country websites (starting with Thailandonline and Vietnamonline). A name that would carry both exotic travel and that personal feeling. A name which would not represent glossy brochures (we don’t have them) or travel with unnecessary frills (we don’t want them). A name breathing respect for local culture and nature, and representing individual travel with room for your own initiative. We decided upon Riksjaonline (translated ‘Rickshaw online’) after that simple and exotic transportation with its hardworking drivers. From 2010 on our company name changed into Riksja Travel. |
| We have carefully built an enthusiastic team. Every year we take thousands of travellers as our guests to destinations spread over the 5 continents. We sell the type of travel which we ourselves enjoy the most; a way to really discover a new country and their special way of life. Every country has its own specialised website with a broad range of travel possibilities. Behind every destination website there are one or more specialists who have a love of these countries and can tell you a lot about the spots that they liked the most. Because the majority of travel is individual we are able to use small, authentic hotels and cottages, which are in tune with the flavour of the country. Above all, we avoid using big coaches; instead we use transport by private car, airplane, train or maybe sometimes a minibus. Freedom is elementary to every journey and we organize only as much as the customer requires. We wish you heaps of travel enjoyment.. |
